Our Story

Wm Sheehan's is Mallow's oldest and most progressive bar.  Established in 1834 it is located on Mallow’s Main Street. Known colloquially as “Mona's” it has passed through numerous family generations, entertaining some notable names, such as Mick Galway, Jerry Cronin, Jack Lynch, Charlie Haughey and many more from the worlds of Irishsport and politics.

On New Years Eve 2008 Richard Willis took over the lease and has grown it’s customer base over the last decade. Mona’s is well known as a sports bar, with numerous UHD & HD TVs showing all sporting events, it is the place in north Cork to watch live sport. As well as being a proud and offical MRSC venue, with a large rugby clientel, Mona’s shows all major sporting events such, as Golf, Darts, Horse Racing, GAA, Snooker & Soccer. Mona’s is also a proud Liverpool bar with its unique ‘Mona’s High Five Club’ where new members are always welcome.

Wm Sheehan’s Mona’s is also known for its great drinks offers, with giveaways & competitions. FREE Pints are always up for grabs.  All you have to do is keep an eye on our posts.
